- Homeowner Case Studies
Our homeowner approached us wanting to extend his home in Offerton, Stockport, as he wished for more living space. After discussing various design schemes with our design team, Mr Yassin decided the best way to do this was with an orangery extension to give his home the wow factor he was looking for.
Orangery installations in Stockport
Orangeries are growing in popularity across the UK as homeowners want glazed views with the feeling of a real extension. This orangery installation amazed many of Mr Yassin’s neighbours; it generated another sale from his neighbour opposite as they were so impressed with our work.
With his new grand orangery, our customer could use the extra living space for many uses. Our homeowner chose to have their orangery for additional living space and a dining room, opening up other areas of the home.
Thermally efficient home orangery installation
This orangery offers a perfect transition between home and garden during the warmer months, and the thermal efficiency of the glazing products used allows our customer to enjoy his new living space during winter, giving an all-year-round solution. All while letting plenty of natural light into their home through glazed windows, French patio doors and a stunning roof lantern flooding the room with natural daylight.
The lantern roof used for the orangery is a strong and dependable protector and was installed with the new Blue Smartglass, which has solar control, self-cleaning properties, and warm edge technology. This roof lantern benefits from self-regulation, making it a low-maintenance option for our customer, which is fundamentally essential within any conservatory or orangery.
Seamless brickwork match Manchester
This was a newer home, and our customer wanted the brickwork on the base of the orangery to match the existing house. After all, a poorly matched extension always ruins a home, and our client was worried about this, so we took every step to find a perfect match.
When choosing the right brick, we carefully considered the colour, size, texture, and bond, ensuring they matched seamlessly with the existing home.
To do this, we took many pictures of the existing house so that we could ensure they were a perfect match when sourcing the bricks for the orangery base.
It was challenging, but our team at Droylsden Glass kept going, and we ensured that the bricks used in the extension were a perfect match. Our customer was delighted with the result of the brickwork.
Orangery installation extras
After the agreement of the orangery installation, our client decided to add the same Deceuninck 2800 windows in white uPVC throughout the home and a new Safeguard Composite front door to give the house a perfect finishing touch. We created a warm and welcoming home for Mr Yassin’s family and their guests, improving the home’s overall kerb appeal and the property’s value for long-term investment while saving money on household energy bills with energy-efficient home improvements.
